| Häromdan såg jag den postapokalyptiska virusfilmen Carriers. Filmen utspelar sig efter att någon sorts virus tagit kål på de flesta människor och man får följa ett gäng som ska ta sig genom ett öde USA till havet. Marknadsfördes tydligen som en skräckis och till och med zombiefilm i vissa länder, det är den inte. Är du ute efter action, splatter och högt tempo bör du se något annat. Detta är istället en långsam och ganska mörk historia om överlevnad till varje pris. 84 minuter som inte kändes bortkastade. |

 En film som har varit på gång ett bra tag nu är The 4th Reich. Filmen regisseras av Shaun Robert Smith mannen bakom den hyllade kortfilmen The Soldier (se nedan) som också är en förlaga till The 4th Reich. | Handlingen (saxad från www.4threichmovie.com) During the early hours of June 6th 1944 a bloody but victorious offensive took place in occupied Western Europe that would claim thousands of lives. The Thing That Should Not Be

| I oktober (11 november i sverige) går The Thing (2011) upp på bio och sedan en tid finns en trailer att beskåda. I den nya The Thing kommer vi få följa norrmännen som gjorde fyndet av skeppet/varelsen, den utspelar sig alltså innan händelserna i Carpenters The Thing (1982) och för oss som har koll på läget vet vi att det inte kommer bli en dans på rosor för det norska teamet. Nu tror jag i och för sig inte att de vågar göra en såpass mörk film där alla dör men det hade såklart varit coolt. |
| Är själv ett stort fan av Carpenters version och har tyvärr inte speciellt stora förhoppningar att denna ska vara i den klassen, men jag hoppas som fan för det var länge sedan det kom en riktigt bra Science fiction-skräckis. |

| Jag har tidigare nämnt Jovanka Vuckovic här på bloggen, hon jobbar för närvarande med sin första kortfilm, The Captured Bird. Om man vill kan man donera pengar och få en sorts delaktighet i filmen, ju mer stålar du donerar desto mer får du tillbaka. Den som har mycket stålar och donerar 5000 dollar eller mer får själv bestämma vad han vill ha av dem i utbyte. Typ att man kanske vill ingå i filmen eller stå med som “exekutiv producent”. |
| Nu är hon även aktuell med boken Zombies! An Illustrated History of the Undead som ska finnas i handeln från 15 februari (UK), och av det lilla man kan se från boken nedan verkar den helt klart intressant. |

The Captured Bird

Jovanka Vuckovic är ett känt namn inom skräckfilmskretsar, bland annat för hennes många år som chefredaktör för Rue Morgue Magazine. Nu har hon skrivit och ska även regissera sin första skräck/fantasy-film, The Captured Bird och har ingen mindre än Guillermo Del Toro med sig som executive producer.
